I can help!
Allow me the privilege of finishing your treasured quilt!
The quilting services I provide are exclusively digital edge-to-edge designs. The quilting will be uniform across the quilt top traveling from one edge of the quilt to the other. My goal as a quilter is to make the quilting look custom by the way we carefully select the quilting design to match your quilt top.
I have many quilting designs/pantos which can be found in my edge to edge design library. Please note that the size and spacing of the designs may be modified to fit best for your unique quilt.
If the perfect panto is not speaking to you from these choices, that’s ok! There are many commercially available designs. You find the perfect design you love and I'll pay half! Most are available for $13 to $18 each. I do reserve the right to retain the panto for later use. Click on the link below to view digital designers. You can search for others too!
If this all seems a bit overwhelming or you just don’t know what you want, I can choose a design for you once I receive your quilt. I will verify my choice with you by visually showing you what that design looks like on the computer screen.
An easy calculation is used to determine the price of quilting your quilt top! Measure the Length and Width of your quilt top, Multiply those two numbers together, and then Multiply that result by .025. This represents a quilting price of 2.5 cents per square inch of the top.
Example: A quilt top that measures 60” x 80” = 4,800 square inches. 4,800 x .025 = $120.00
There is a minimum charge of $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner may need to be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
If you choose not to include your own batting with your top, I stock:
~Quilter's Dream 80/20 cotton/poly blend batting in White. Quilter's Dream is the perfect blend of 80% high grade long staple USA cotton fiber paired with 20% fine denier poly microfiber for a soft, silky batting that drapes beautifully and breathes well. Priced at 0.35 per linear inch.
~Quilter's Dream 100% cotton batting in White. The cotton fibers are mechanically cleaned (no chemicals) and then specially carded, crosslapped and needle punched for unmatched consistency and strength. There is no scrim, resin or glue – just 100% pure natural cotton. Quilters Dream Cotton Batting is strong yet exceptionally soft. Priced at 0.40 per linear inch.
~Quilter's Dream Poly in White. Dream Poly’s exclusive blend of these revolutionary microfibers imparts a very soft hand, exceptional drape, breathability and comfort which surpasses all other polyester quilt battings. You will feel the difference! Priced at 0.30 per linear inch.
Once quilted, machine wash your finished quilt in cold water and machine dry on low. A 3% shrinkage can be expected in the first wash with cold water. To achieve an antique puckered look, use warm water for up to 5% shrinkage. Note that batting purchased would be a separate charge not included in the square inch price.
I use Superior Magnifico 40 wt. 2-ply high-tenacity trilobal polyester thread. Designed for quilting, decorative stitching, and embroidery. Magnifico is a bold, strong thread created for quilting and embroidery. Magnifico is an extra-strength, high-sheen polyester that can handle the speed and tension of longarm and commercial machines, while displaying bold and beautiful shades of color.
Choose your thread color or I will choose for you. I attempt to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. Thread is included in the square inch price.
